Red flags worth stopping for.
One vague sentence may be a mistake. A pattern of hidden names, false claims and pressure is different.
Hard stops
- A prescription medicine is offered with no prescription.
- A compounded medicine is called FDA-approved.
- A research-only product comes with human-use claims.
- The medical professional who writes the prescription or the pharmacy cannot be named.
- The only payment choices are a wire, crypto, a payment app or a gift card.
As of September 2026, it is illegal to dispense prescription medicine when there is no prescription.
Pressure is information
Deep discounts, a countdown or a miracle claim do not prove fraud by themselves. Together with hidden records, they are a reason to stop and verify.
The FTC says official-looking seals, guarantees and endorsements can be faked.
