Your location matters
As of September 2026, an online doctor or other medical professional must be licensed or otherwise permitted by the state where you are located during the visit.
There is no single national medical licence.
A questionnaire may start the visit
A set online questionnaire is not enough by itself to make a careful medical decision. The doctor or other medical professional needs a way to ask follow-up questions and gather the information your case requires.
If an exam or test is needed, that medical professional can arrange it or refer you for in-person care.
Look for a named medical professional, a clear way to ask questions, and a plan for what happens after the first decision.
